plum wine
13% ABV
Also known as “meijiu”,“umeshu”,“gekkeikan”. “Plum wine” is a somewhat vague name for plum-oriented beverages encompassing wine made from fermented plums, plum-flavored grape-based wines and some low-proof liquors. Most common are examples from Japan, Korea or the United States (e.g., Kikkoman brand). Japanese plum wines are usually labeled umeshu, and sometimes include fruit in the bottle.
