Orange wine is generic for a rustic fermented beverage made from orange juice, sugar and yeast. While uncommon, it this style of fruit wine has considerable history and is fairly easy to make at home (see Internet for recipes). “Orange wine” is sometimes used to describe grape wine that happens to be orange in color, or vin d’orange, a French tradition of fortified white wine infused with orange and spices.
