Also known as “soursop juice”. Guanabana juice is the processed, liquified and diluted white pulp of the fruit of the Soursop tree, a tropical evergreen plant native to the tropical Americas. Guanabana juice is ubiquitous in Caribbean and Central America, and uncommon elsewhere, but can be found in Latino grocery stores and some Asian markets. The packaged juice is typically slightly viscous (like banana) and sold as juice or “nectar”, and can vary in sweetness by brand. For example, Jumex guanabana nectar has twice the sugar as Foco guanabana juice, so you may need to adjust your drink recipe accordingly. The flavor of guanabana vaguely evokes a combination of fruit flavors such as you might get from a smoothie of apple, strawberry, pineapple and citrus.
