Beeswax is a wax secreted by honeybees and mixed with pollen and propolis for the structural purpose of building honeycomb. Beeswax is edible (but non-nutritive for humans) and used by humans for numerous purposes including food, skin care and candles. Commercially available in various forms, including bleached, packaged as a lump or as pellets. Flavor is mild, and may be virtually nonexistent if bleached or otherwise heavily processed.
