Hochstadter’s 6 Year Slow and Low Citrus Honey Rock & Rye
Proprietary rock & rye introduced in 2013 by Jacquin. Flavored with lemon, orange, grapefruit, honey and horehound. (The 1884 date on the label pertains to Jacquin, not the Hochstadter’s brand.) Note that, confusingly, a similarly-named 42º product is also sold with a different label design. Rock & rye is generic for a specific American liqueur, traditionally with a rye whiskey base and infused horehound and fruit flavoring, often with macerated fruit in bottle’s bottom.
