Also known as “montilla”. Montilla is a fortified wine from Andalusia produced in a manner similar to sherry, and employing many of the same grapes and vocabulary as sherry. Montilla is most commonly a dry wine (Fino), although sweet versions exist. Often, montilla exhibits a distinctive almond character amongst its other flavors.
