mexican table chocolate

Mexican table chocolate is a sweet, cinnamon-spiced chocolate typically packaged in dry discs intended to be cut, shaved and blended into hot milk or hot water to produce “Mexican hot chocolate”, a mild (relative to some drinking chocolates), semi-sweet, spiced beverage. The iconic brand is Ibarra, from Guadalajara, but other brands exist.
