Ingredients
unaged whiskey
Also known as “white dog”,“new make spirit”. “Unaged whiskey” is generic for the commercially bottled, “straight from the still” distillate of fermented grain, skipping the barrel aging and blending that regular whiskies undergo. Unaged whiskey is flavorful, usually evincing fruity aromatics, maltiness (perhaps) and some character of the grains that have been distilled. Generally missing are smoky-, woody-, caramelly- and vanilla-flavors that result from barrel aging.
