rancio
Also known as “rancio sec”,“vi ranci”. Rancio is generic for the a style of deliberately, fully oxidized-dry white wines native to Mediterranean Languedoc and Catalonia. The wines spend significant time in glass demijohns, exposed to the sun before they are transfered to barrels for a solera-system-like aging and blending process.
