American apple brandy is generic for brandy distilled from apples in the USA. Often another term for applejack. Marketed as a straight distillate with only water dilution to regulate the proof, or, less frequently, blended with neutral spirits. Excellent in cocktails. The de facto benchmark is Laird’s Bonded Apple Brandy.
