Also known as “ice ball”. An ice sphere is a large lump of ice—generally large enough to just fit within a doube rocks glass—in the form of a solid sphere. Ice spheres can be created by freezing water in a spherical mold or by melting a large lump of ice into a sphere within the chamber of a heavy aluminum “ice ball maker”.
