Also known as “Bochet”,“mead”,“Chouchenn”,“Trójniak”,“medovina”,“Hydromel”,“Tej”. A beverage made from a fermented mixture of honey and water. Virtually every Old World culture has a honey wine tradition. Honey wine can be still or sparkling, sometimes includes fruits in the fermentation or other flavorings before or after fermentation, may be aged in wood or glass and varies between approximately 8% and 18% alcohol. The fundamental honey flavor may persist to greater or lesser extent.
