Also known as “summer cup”. Fruit cup is generic for a concentrate of gin (or other spirit), botanicals and fruit essences and concentrates intended to be diluted with a soft drink prior to serving. An important British bottled cocktail tradition for which Pimm’s No. 1 is probably the defining example.
